iPhone "system services" using excessive mobile data

I try to look for answer in old discussion, don't think there is a conclusive answer. My iPhone using excessive mobile data with "system services". Like 300Mb in 7 days.

Before you say anything else, the following is status of things may be using data

iPhone 6

10.2.1

Apps using mobile data, only 2 app

Notification: all have been turned off

Background App Refresh: turned off

Itunes & app stores: signed off

iCloud: signed on (on previous test it was off but did not help

I would understand if certain app used data as it will be shown on the system then I can control my usage accordingly. My main concern is why "system services" use so much data in particular "iTunes accounts"??? Am I alone?

When System Services was eating up my data it was only after I turned off Use Mobile Data that my data usage returned to normal

(Settings>>>iCloud>>>iCloud Drives>>>at the bottom)

I have heard about this issue with 10.2.1 and found that the most helpful tips/tricks to address this were in the below 3 links. There are several variables that may be adding to this issue that's why I recommend reviewing each of these.

I'm sorry none of these were helpful. I would honestly have to say at this point your best bet would be to contact Apple Support directly for further assistance and possibly a diagnostic test of the device [which, in almost all cases, can also be done over the phone].

Thanks for the quick reply, I will have a look of those link. My normal monthly usage is only around 200 to 250Mb out of 500Mb my allowance. I experience this high data usage around 1 month ago.

I have a detailed look and it did not help. I have already did everything mentioned but "system services" is still draining my data.

I have contacted apple helpline but so far is just testing this testing that. No real solution. I cannot believe I am the only one suffer this problem.

Just also to say, my mail pushing is off as well. Wifi assist is off, no hotspot ... etc. Any thing may use data has already been turned off. I really don't know what to do except change from iPhone to something else.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am talking to Apple support for the past week or so. So doing tests. No solution!

For the mean time, system services has used another 140mb since 12 hours ago! Which means all my monthly allowance is used up within 8 days! Not happy!

Well still no practical help from Apple. I suppose they are just trying to force people to upgrade to iPhone 7???!!! Well I am really close to jump ship from iPhone to Samsung. This **** has been making me not able to use the phone as a smart phone for the past 1 month! and Apple just don't care!!!!!
