how do I get checks back by song ? so when I shuffle music I can uncheak holiday music .

iTunes library does not have checks by songs like in previous library recently downloaded new iTunes and want to manage holiday music for instance and in previous library there were columns next to each song could be checked or unchecked to be played or not played while on shuffle or I could uncheck all holiday genre so it would not randomly play any ideas ?
