Movies won't transfer from iTunes to Ipad or From Computer to Itunes

I am making this thread to save people lots of time and frustration. I have ben trying to figure out why movies that I transfered from my computer to itunes were not showing up in itunes. Then, once i got that figured out, the movies wouldn't show up on my pad after syncing it to itunes.

Step 1: Movies not transfering from computer to itunes:

I had to go into itunes and in the library on the left column it shows Recently Added, Movies, Genres, and Home Videos. The movies wouldn't show up under "Movies" but I finally found out they were under the "Home Videos" tab. If you click on that they should be in there. From there, right click the movie > get info > options > then change the media kind to "movie" instead of "home video". Now the movies will show up under the movies tab in the itunes library.

Step 2: Movies not syncing to the ipad.

After syncing the movies, the ipad was showing that the movies were taking up space on the hard drive but they were not showing up in the movies tab in the itunes store. After a long time searching I finally found out they were not in the itunes store app at all even though the movies I purchased directly from itunes show up there. The movies that i transfered from my computer are actually in the "TV" app on the ipad. Click on that app and in the top left corner there is a dropdown menu that should say "Library". Change that to "Movies" (by default I think its set to recently added") and BAM all my movies are right there.

I dont know why Apple makes this so difficult.
