2013 Macbook Air Screen Colors messed up?

I have had this problem for several months now, where randomly and spontaneously while using the computer, the colors on my screen get inverted, and more grayed out. There is also a gray bar near the center of my screen. I can often times get it to go back to normal by turning off the display and turning it on again using the power button in the top right side of the keyboard. Jiggling the screen a little sometimes helps as well. But there are other times when it is persistent, and I have to wait for it to go back. Why is this happening? How do I get it fixed?

Hi,

The fact that jiggling the computer can affect it means there is a hardware issue. It's likely a cable or connection from the logic board to the display, or the logic board itself: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Air+13-Inch+Mid+2013+Logic+Board+Replacemen t/15388

Note that pressing the power key for a little bit also does the trick a lot of the time. Will the Genius bar fix this if I bring it to them? Or do I have to do that logic board thing myself?
