Missing Audio Files

Hey,

I recorded a drum session on Logic Pro, of 7 tracks, each with 23 takes so it was quite a large Logic File, and for the purpose of this we will call it '#1' just to make it easier.

On the same day I recorded with 3 other Logic Files.

The next day I dragged each of the 4 Logic files into new folders that I created so that my folders were more organised. I also dragged a copy of each of the 4 files onto a USB stick to transfer to another computer.

The USB stick subsequently stopped working, and I had to erase/format.

Once transferred onto the other computer, I then opened each of the files, only to notice that the '#1' Logic File was missing all of the audio we had recorded.

I opened the file on the original computer, and the same issue occurred. All 23 of the takes are in each of the 7 tracks, however they are empty.

I have tried to 'search' and 'locate' the files, with no luck.

Also by opening the project files from the top right corner of the Logic screen, it shows all of the takes, the path of where the file is. However once following that path, or selecting 'show file in finder' there is nothing there.

I assume the files are gone. But does anybody know why this has happened so i can stop it from happening again?

Or on the off chance if anybody knows another way for me to try to locate them let me know!
