MacBook Air stuck in restart loop and now won't turn on

Hey everyone,

So for a couple of days I've been having trouble with my mac. I'll plug the charger in and sometimes it won't register that it's plugged in (not charging and no charger light) other times it will light up but the battery symbol on screen will say "Power source: charger, battery not charging" and almost always I have to juggle it around and push on it until it goes orange and says it's charging. This may be a charger problem but as I do not have a spare I can't test t. The laptop also sporadically shuts down, and crashes. Several times it's been well over 50% charged and the screen just goes black. Often upon trying to restart it, it get stuck in a restart loop. Where it turns on and chimes, then shuts down, then turns on and chimes, then shuts down, over and over and over. It doesn't stop unless I hold down the power button.

Now, it was just stuck in a restart loop so I shut it down. Now it won't turn back on, full stop. The charger is plugged in and orange so I can only hope that it's actually charging, although the laptop was on 100% when it shut down so charge shouldn't be a problem.

Can anyone help? My MacBook is a MacBook Air 13" Mid 2011.
