How can I edit my pool swim workout if my Apple Watch incorrectly estimated my laps?

My Nike+ Apple Watch shorted me two whole laps on my workout from 4 days ago, and it won't let me correct it. Why/how can I edit the workout to reflect the correct distance?

You can't edit workout data after the fact.

However, I might suggest looking at the swimming app from swim.com

While it requires you to enter the length of your pool in order to measure distances, it is very good at recognizing when you turn and if you swim strokes other than freestyle, automatically recognizing the type of stroke.

It also has a drill mode which is very handy which you're doing kicking and pulling drills.

Once data is sent from the watch to the app on your iPhone, it can be edited on the phone or on their website and allows you to correct most errors that might pop up during your swim.

This is taken from the article I provided:

You can calibrate your Apple Watch to improve the accuracy of your distance, pace, and calorie measurements. Calibrating your watch can also help it learn your fitness level and stride, which improves accuracy when GPS is limited or unavailable.

Doing things shown in the article, such as adding your height or age, or enabling location services all helps your Apple Watch improve its accuracy.

This is a user support forums so none of us work at Apple, so we won't know the reasoning behind Apple's decisions. I would suggest leaving a feedback report to Apple about editing swim workouts.
