Hey, recently i noticed that some photos on my iphone 5s (iOS 9.3.1) just disappear and turn grey?? those photos were taken completely normally, in the "gallery" the small version looks normal, but after clicking on them they just turn completely grey. video that were taken around that time are just completely white and won't even play. its not even all pictures, just a few. is there any way to recover them/stop this from happening? 😟

It seems like you have a filter turned on. Open your camera app and click on the three little circles in the upper right-hand corner. Then select the type of filter, for example, black and white or full color etc.
Let us know if it works.
I have the same problem and had an online chat with Apple. Apparently it's "more than likely from something corrupt when taking the photo" and they said there's no way to retrieve the original image. Hopefully someone else finds a way lol
