Avast Says It Blocked four of these threats. I was not even going into anything
Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12.3)
P.S. I was at the time Googling a local business to get their phone number, something I do all the time, getting it from Yelp.
Other than that, all that was open were two tabs, one for my "Outlook," mail, and one for my Gmail???!!!
False Positive, maybe?? Nothing was put into my Virus Chest, and I am running a scan now. So far, all ok.
Then off to bed>>>Night
Well no one has any idea, Huh?? So I Goggle this (On my Chromebook at this moment) and can not C&P that URL, so had to type it all out: what is, "https://play.google.com/log?format=json=authuser=0/applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOs/Google Chrome,">>LOL>>and can not find anything to answer my question. Maybe something to do with, "Flash, " (Google Play). I had streamed, "Little Big Shots," from nbc.com, since our local NBC affiliate is being blocked my the greedy Content owners, the, Hearst Corp, to DishNet, but that was HOURS before. So I am CONFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSED.
I am leaning toward a, "False Positive, " that has been mentioned here before.

This user likes to try to "prove" they're right about AV software being necessary and that all the actual experts are wrong. I'd suggest not taking the bait.
Based on the "Infection" stating URL: Mal" and the URL included in your follow up which includes [I've removed the link based portion] "Chrome.app/Contents/MacOs/Google Chrome,">>LOL>>" [but put and underline and bold font for "LOL" I would suggest using Safari to download Malware Bytes [an Apple recommended malware/adware removal program] and running it.
Well Folks I have an important update, and it is very relevant to this thread and I hope it is allowed. Days ago I had mentioned my AV, Avast stopping, blocking a, "FlashPlayer.dmg," from being done when I was in a TV streaming site. I thought that said site was trying to sneak something into my Mini. Was not the case. Turns out that said site saw that my Flash was out of date, as was also my Chrome Browser. I had not updated it. Did not realize that I had to, thinking it AUTO UPDATED, as my Chromebook does, NOPE here in a MAC as well as Windows machine you have to manually update to the latest version. So I have done so, and my Adobe Flash is also current. Thus Said TV streaming site is also happy. A lot of TooDoo about nothing :-)
You should immediately delete Avast which, like all so-called anti-virus applications, can only harm your Mac.
+1
when the evidence shows Mac AV's solve more problems then they cause I'll recommend them, but at this time a cursory glance at these forums and a litany of posts show it's simply not the case yet.
Good catch! 🙂
Good work, thanks for the report! 🙂
