Transfering Library files

Transfering Library files

Can anyone help? I would like to know how simple the process is of transfering all the library plugin's for such programs as Final Cut HD etc to a second hard drive to relieve space on the main hard drive? The application support folder seems to be the largest.
What issues come with doing this????

Power Mac Quad G5, G4 iMac 800mhz 17inch, 1st generation G3 iBook Turquoise, Mac OS X (10.4.8), I want a Macbook Pro!!!

You cannot simply transfer parts of the Library folder. In order to do what you want you would need to move the entire Home folder to another drive and then re-configure OS X to use the Home folder from a location other than the default.
