Siri and WhatsApp

I have a contact with two mobile numbers. When I want to send her a WhatsApp message with Siri, the two numbers are shown. Siri asks me which contact I want to use. Whatever I answer, Siri keeps interpreting the answer as a new contact. I can't seem to find the way to select one of the two using Siri. Pls help.

by the way... my native language is Dutch.

Greetings, Malphie49!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues with Siri not working properly for you. The good news is Apple has a great article you can check out for steps to resolve this issue. Check out Get help with Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . Specifically, since Siri is not recognizing your contact properly:

If Siri isn't available, or doesn't understand or respond to questions

Siri might say something like, "Sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to the network," or "Try again in a little while." This is probably a network issue. Check your Internet connection and try again later.

If Siri still doesn't work as expected, try these steps. After each step, see if Siri is working.

  1. Make sure that your iOS device has an Internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data.
  2. On your iOS device, make sure that Siri is turned on under Settings > Siri.
  3. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  4. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Siri and turn off Siri. Then turn it on again.
  5. If you're using an iOS device, try to use Siri with a headset. If Siri only works when you're using a headset, get help with the microphones on your device.
  6. Contact Apple Support.

Have a great day!
