Help please asap.... just spent 3hrs trying to find out what this popup is all about. I was in the middle of deleting an email (hotmail) when the following pop-up appeared : Password Incorrect - Enter the Password for the Exchange account "Email". I have no idea what this is. I cannot get access now to my accounts. I've even changed my apple password. Thanks for your help Janine

The password that you've entered for you email is wrong, which has nothing to do with your apple id.
Go to settings - mail - account- Hotmail and enter the correct passwords, if that doesn't work delete the account and re add it.
There is an email account that is connected to an Exchange server. The server is requesting the password for the email account.
Go into settings and delete the offending account. If necessary delete all your email accounts and then add them back in one at a time.
Hi elcpu - no it was installed by me.... last year - could understand if it was something I'd done today but was just checking my emails and decided to delete 2 then the POP-UP appeared...
I have my apple profile, hotmail, google etc profiles

Hi elcpu - no - no work related email - only 1 email address - profile yes installed on phone - had phone for a while now and this is the first time this weird thing has happened !
Do you have a work related email or profile installed on your phone?
Hi - I've done that but it didnt solve the problem.... it was weird as I was looking and checking my email for 5mins before this pop-up Popped UP !

Hi razmee - didn't enter a password - no need to as I was reading my emails and I'm from the dark ages - only one email address and been using it for years but not on iphone so trying to understand where and why this pop-up appeared. J

thanks for your feedback. While reading your responses my phone made a very odd noise and the pop-up no longer appears.... maybe I have gremlins... will keep all your responses on file "just in case" Once again - Thanks for your help appreciated! 🙂
BTW People - this not only appears on the screen for email but for settings etc... everytime I change the screen

The profile is likely the issue. Was it installed by an IT person? If so ask them about it.
