Iphone 7 pairing with MSI GT72VR Dominator-063 LapTop

Hi,

Having issues with my IPhone 7 not recognizing my MSI GT72VR Dominator-063 Laptop i7 when pairing.
The laptop recognizes the IPhone and issues a passcode but the iPhone continues to search for the laptop and doesn't offer the validation passcode which displays on the laptop.

iPhone 7, iOS 10.2.1

you can only pair the two for tethering. Share your Internet connection with Personal Hotspot - Apple Support

what exactly are you trying to do? iOS: Supported Bluetooth profiles - Apple Support

Thanks for your reply Razmee

Hotspot won't connect via blue tooth & I don't want to use a USB lead as my IPhone 5 died having it connected this way over time. I only use hotspot as I don't have Wi-Fi, The information you provided was a standard reply and didn't get to the mechanic of the problem, I have now managed to have the iPhone 7 recognise laptop but the pairing keeps failing any idea's?

Have you tried to connect to the iPhone via Wi-Fi? You should see your iPhone listed under wi-fi networks, and then just select the iPhone and enter the password showing on your Hotspot page. Also, Windows does not deal well with special characters in the phone name, so when the network is created, it can fail. Make sure there are no apostrophes or other special characters in your iPhone Name.
