Is it possible to attach a logo to an object that is moving so the logo moves with the motion?

I filmed a video where I catch a golf ball and dropped it into a hole. At one point, I show the plain golf ball to the camera before I drop it. I really want to, in that frame, to show a logo on it, but I want it to look as little awkward as possible. I was hoping there was some way I can attach my logo onto the ball so as I move the ball into the frame, and drop it on the ground, the logo is always on and is moving as I move the ball. I know it's a weird request/question, I am just unsure if that is even possible.

If it's not possible, if anyone has any tips on introducing the logo, that would help.

Thank you so much!!

Having text/logo automatically track a moving object is not possible with iMovie. (It can be done in Final Cut Pro X with third party plugins but iMovie doesn't support plugins).

What you can do is to create a still image of the logo on a green or blue background using Phtoshop or similar then use the green/blue screen facility in iMovie to superimpose the logo onto your clip.

However, if you want to move the logo you need to create a .png still with the logo on a transparent background. The .png must have the same number of pixels in each direction as the movie clips you are using. You can then use the picture-in-picture effect in iMovie and use keyframes to move the logo. See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mova1aaa682b

for details. Its a lot of work to manually make the logo follow irregular movement though.
