Any such message will always be a scam.
Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the Safari preview.
Go to: Settings - Safari - Clear History.
Restart Safari.
There are no known Trojan Horses or viruses that can affect non-jailbroken iPhones.
There's also no trash to empty on an iPhone. Stedman1 did not suggest that. It was a different person that may have thought you were using a computer and not an iPhone. You can ignore that suggestion.
So I did the same and now every once and a while I open safari and it says apple.com/icloudxxx then says I have a Trojan virus and I should download the vpn hotspot sheild is this a scam because I will Iit on a fresh tab and still pop up that
It's a scam yes. Still no known viruses that can affect iPhones.
A new Tab in Safari should open any website. It's either empty, or showing your Favorites.
As said Delete Website Data form Settings->Safari, and reboot the iPhone
Is it enough if I just clear my browser history from settings?
Yes. There is/was no virus. There is no threat.
If you haven't opened the file yet you can delete it before it spreads than empty the trash!
It's not just any file I don't think. It's an app from the App Store. 7 day free trial then u pay $10 or $11 a month. I don't know if I should get it?
No, you should not get it, or any such product. Again, the popup message, and any message like it will always be a scam. Always.
Thsnks for your answer. Are you an expert at this iPhone stuff? Why should I believe you?
Bye.
Ok thanks. Now you say I should delete it then empty my trash? How do I empty my trash?
Hey sorry, this question wasn't for you, it was for bmwman.
Ok. I hope there is no virus like you say. But this message came from browsing a pornsite(s). Am I still in no harm?
How do I get rid of Trojan viruses?
