Why can't I download certain songs on Apple Music?

I’ve tried everything and nothing works. Mine has been trying to download for days and nothing. I pay for Apple Music for nothing. I’m actually getting sick of Apple and it’s non stop issues and I’ve been with Apple since the 3G and all my home products are Apple but Samsung seems to have less issues. Oh my

What worked for me was to open the song when you have Wifi and click the 3 red dots in the bottom right. then click remove from library. After you removed it add it to your library again, and then try downloading it.

Thank you but wasn’t as helpful. We know this much. It’s that Apple Music still won’t let us download the songs even after we’ve followed the steps to download it to our library. I believe my situation is related to pre-downloading an album before it was released, but still no resolution to the problem for me.

But what can you do when you click the red cloud to download and it starts to download then stops and has the red cloud again?

How to download music to listen to offline

Before you can download music to listen to offline, you need to add the songs, albums, or playlists to your Library. After you add the music to your Library, in the Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or in iTunes on your Mac or PC, find the song, album, or playlist that you want to download. Then:

• On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Tap Download .
• On your Mac or PC: Click Download .

You'll see when the download is complete.

If you have Automatic Downloads turned on, music automatically downloads to your device or computer when you add it to your Library. You won't see or .

You can download music on up to 10 devices. These songs are accessible only during your Apple Music membership.

Had the same problem for months. What surprisingly helped was deleting the whole album on the 3dot-button and then adding the song I wanted.

But it was strange because I didn't have to download the song again. It was already on my phone. So something's definitely broken here.

That does not work. The download starts then stops abruptly.

I can be that the servers at AM are just busy. Assuming that you (1) have a current AM subscription, (2) have iCloud Music turned ON and the song is already added to your library, then you can either (1) just wait and see if it works a little later on, (2) Quit the Music App and then restart it or (3) turn off Apple Music in settings and then turn it back on (but since this is a pain I would only do it as a last resort).

I have the same issue but I can't even read the musics nor download. I can't read musics from the "browse" menue either, and when I try to download something on my computer an error message appeared. No problem on my iPhone... Anybody found a solution ?

I have had this problem for ages now, it onl happens to me after a couple days of my phone not dying or being reset. I have to hard reset my phone to get it to work (hold home button and power button if iphone 6 or before. on iphone 7 or higher hold power button and volume down) this has worked for awhile but is tedious. I make a list after awhile and then when I get time I restart my phone and add them. hope this helps!!

I’m also getting this issue. I’ve looked up how to fix it but everything I’ve tried hasn’t worked. I’ve tried restarting my phone, closing the app, waiting a few days, connected to different internet connections, tried using cellular data, and I know the the song is eligible on ITunes because the song just came out yesterday. I can also play the song if I look it up but I can’t play it from my library or offline since it won’t download.

Hey, did you find a solution to this? I’m getting the same issue, press the download icon it begins to spin then just stops.

same issue.... and I know it’s not my WiFi or network because I can download other songs just fine. It’s only certain songs that will attempt to download and then stop ! it’s so frustrating.

Getting the same issue here in 2017 - buy an album and most songs download but 3-8 (depending on album don't) any fix yet?
