Speed transition

Hi,

I'd like to reproduce some effects I saw in this plugin with Motion.

I already made a "smooth speed blur" effect between 2 clips in this production but I had to do a lot of compounded clips and set the start of the speed change on A point of compounded clip 1 to B point of compounded clip 2 and it is not at all practical.

In Motion, we can't retime the items in a transition so any idea on how to do that ?

Thx.

MotionVFX is actually coding those as plugin. They are not simple Motion templates, they don't live in your Motion Templates folder. The scripting language to do that is called FxPlug. Unless you want to learn to code, you're not going to duplicate what they do in a simple Motion project.

As for retiming a transition, well, no you can't. Those are not regular layers, they're very specially coded layers. So no, you're not going to get that to happen in a simple Motion transition template project.

If there is a way, I wish someone would show me. But I've been using Motion for as long as it's been out, teaching it as an ACT for as long, and no, it won't do that as far as I know.

Very interesting...

I was developer before to be a video editor and (little) motion designer. 10 years in Flash and AS3 code (POO, design pattern, etc) so I already know that part and most of concepts. My purpose is to be able to reproduce what I did with Flash with animations and scripting with variables and constantes and my remark about Motion is we can't extend this soft by coding so I'm very interesting by FxPlug.

Do you know some great sources to see some basics of this language ?

Thx.
