MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.3), Early 2015 model
Well yes I have Avast installed. Would you suggest any other Anti Virus program?
Also I did the etrecheck and found some infected Bittorent files. I believe I should get rid of it as well.

Thank you all for such great response. I removed Bittorrent (it never worked in Mac anyway) as well as Avast which I installed as I was a Windows OS user so I was kinda skeptical about using my machine without an AV program. Here is the revised test report. The performance which was earlier Good is now Excellent which is fantastic.
But the issue with Youtube thumbnails still remains. Also, I remember a few instances where while watching a youtube video with full screen, the video would flicker for a moment. It doesn't really happen now. Its only been 14 months since I started using the Mac OS having used Windows for almost 23 years and I think I still haven't completely figured Mac OS out.
Here is the new report -

Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer or by using the developer’s uninstall instructions. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Welcome. It means you have something installed that is causing the problem. Most likely an AV program or Little Snitch. If you have any AV Programs installed, uninstall it following the developer's instructions.
Please install and paste the results
This will show what else you may have causing the problem.
Mac computers don't need anti-virus programs at this time. If you still want to use one, the below seems less intrusive than others.
You have adware installed. Run the report again and where you see the red Adware, click Remove. Once complete, run the report again and post a copy into a new reply.
Or download this program which was written by Thomas Reed, a long time poster. The program will do the work for you which makes it easy.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac 10.8 and later
What should I do if Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac didn't solve my problem?
Why you shouldn’t download from a Torrent site
Uninstall Avast. It tends to interfere with the computer's operation while providing minimal to no benefit.
You do not need, nor should you use anything to uninstall "Avast".
Use its uninstaller, which will remove it completely. Its uninstaller app was included with its downloaded installation package. If you no longer have it, download it again from Avast's website.
Yes I have already tried that and deleting the browsing data etc. Its a recurring kind of issue I mean sometimes thumbnails are there but mostly they aren't. No other problem whatsoever but it just doesn't look nice.
Try booting in Safe Mode and see if it works.
Hey, thank you so much for your response! It is working fine in the safe mode. So what could be the issue with thumbnails not appearing when booted in normal mode?😕
You should uninstall Avast and the adware you have. I can't in good faith recommend any AV software for Macs. They really don't protect your Mac and can cause issues.
Have you tried going to Safari/Preferences/Extensions and disabling the extension to see if it changes anything?
