Fyi, with your help the other day, I did get Win7 (64) opened and upon shutdown, the screen said to wait while 176 items were downloaded. Next morning the items were installed, and another batch were going to download, maybe 80 or so. Those were later installed also. Windows still seems it has more to do, hard to explain, for example, it doesn’t recognize the wireless printer. The Mac partition read it right away.

Do you have a Wireless Network Adapter in the Windows Device Manager? Is the printer on a Wireless network or is it on an ad-hoc network between the iMac and the printer?

All in all, things seem ok, though I am tempted to use a flash drive to load the drivers again, this time with the your note to use driver 5 (I think I used the correct 5 before but not sure). For another try, I’ve downloaded

Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621. (not Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5640 <http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1721> for a 2013 model.

Do not use 5.1.5640 on a 2011 Mac.

In Windows Bootcamp Control panel, if you click on the OS X icon, it selects the OS X as the default OS. Please also see Boot Camp for Mac: Set the default operating system .

Hello and thanks,

When I shutdown Windows, and then restart, the system reopens Windows, not iMac. I had thought the default when closing Win, Mac would open Mac using no key like ‘Option/alt’, but I do have to use Option held down to go back to Mac.

Otherwise, it's pretty good.

If you think another go with Bootcamp 5 would improve things, let me know if possible. I would uninstall Windows7 if so.

Thanks again,

Mark

Where is BootCamp looking for the software?

BC Assistant downloads the software from the same Apple servers, and temporarily stores it on your internal disk, before it is copied to the USB (or OSXRESERVED) as appropriate. Can you run Disk Utility and click on First Aid and then retry the BC Assistant installation process?
