My iMessages disappear after I send them.

I'm only able to see iMessages/texts received prior to this problem happening. I backed up my phone, and even did a restore. I did a hard reset and reset my network settings, but nothing worked. Is there anything I missed?

The only time it actually worked, I reset my phone to factory settings, but I'd rather NOT that be the only solution. Help!

iPhone 6, iOS 10.2.1

If your phone is low on storage, it may not retain your messages. Have a look at the article below to check your storage.
