How to store AirPods properly.

Hello, I recently got AirPods and want to preserve their battery life. Does keeping them in the charger case when not using them overcharge them? If i leave them out of the case they are slowly losing battery even if not in use. Is overcharging not an issue anymore

Hello,

It is best to keep the AirPods in the case when you are not using them. They also do not overcharge. When your AirPods are out of the case they use battery even if you are not using them.

Taken form Apple's Website:

Get longer battery life

Your AirPods charge in the case and are ready for you to use as soon as you open the lid.

  • To keep your AirPods charged, put them in the case when you're not using them.
  • When you charge your AirPods with charging case, you'll get the best, fastest results by using an iPhone or iPad USB charger or plugging into your Mac.
  • Repeatedly opening and closing the charging case can reduce the battery charge of the case.
