Syncing Photos/Videos Issue

I used to be able to sync selected photo albums from my computer and include the videos. That option is still selected, but the videos do not show on the Iphone 7. I got an error message saying I needed the TV or Video app. The video app is no longer available, so I got the tv app, but still can't play my videos. I sync the videos of family events to share with other people.
