why won't my nike run app map my run?

Recently updated Nike run app on my iOS device and it now won't map my rin on my watch. I will get a mile out and no miles are shown. I switch over to a different app and it works. Why?

The following steps may help:


On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services:

  • Check that Location Services (the main setting at the top) is turned on.
  • In the list of apps beneath, check that Apple Watch Workout and Nike+ Run Club are each set to While Using.
  • If each setting is already enabled:
    • Try briefly turning off Location Services and then turning it back on again.
    • Try briefly changing the setting for Apple Watch Workout and the Nike app to Never and then back to While Using.
  • Also enable options under System Services including Motion Calibration & Distance, Wi-Fi Networking and Mobile Network Search.


Restart both your iPhone and your watch:
