Noise after bouncing

Hi,

I experience a lot of noise on my bounced track, and I'm going out of my mind, figuring out what the problem is.

There's no noise during playback in Logic - it's only on wav files and mp3's after bouncing. I also tried bouncing a project in Reaper, but there was no noise, so I don't think it's my audio interface. It must be Logic.

I've tried this so far:

Bouncing in different ways including offline and realtime
Exported all tracks as audio files (every track was noisy)
Bouncing different projects
Checked cables
Bouncing with the built-in audio interface
Checked settings
Disabled / deleted plugins
Disabled flex mode

The noise is constant on my tracks, and there's no change no matter what I do.

I run the latest Logic Pro X on my iMac 5k (32 GB RAM) on the latest OSX.

What do I do?

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), Upgraded to 32 GB RAM

First, what type of noise?

What File Format are you Bouncing to? (important)

Try bouncing to a 24-bit WAV or AIFF file at 44,100kHz.

Two things to try.

In the Bounce Dialog... turn "Normalize" to OFF

In Logic's Preferences/Audio increase the I/O Buffer. (theoretically this shouldn't matter, but try it anyway)

To me this sounds like it has been bounced through some cheap 16 bit interface at a very low volume. Can you make a screenshot of your bounce window AND of your complete mixer? Even better would be if you could upload the project file itself (maybe shortened to 1 or 2 bars - as long as it exhibits the issue.). ZIP it before uploading.

It's not cheap - I use a Apollo Twin Duo Thunderbolt. This is a new problem. I have never had this issues before. The bounce options and the mixer is fine - it has been checked by several users in FB groups.

Well, if it all is fine then there should not be a problem at all. And the interface is not involved anyway - or are you bouncing in real time? However, if you won't give any extra information, I don't see how we can help you, unless someone who has had this exact same problem happens to read this and feels in the mood to post about it. However, I have not heard of this specific issue before, so...

So, have you tried creating a new project with one stereo audio track, import a song (stereo file) into it and bounce that? If you did, how did that end up? And if you didn't, could you do that and report on the results?

Have you tried deleting the preferences?

It almost sounds like a live input is active and bleeding into the mix or possibly noise from a compressor trying to up the volume of weak track... but then, you should hear it on playback. You've tried bouncing selecting only PCM/Wav/24bit/44.1? What resolution are the tracks recorded at? 96kHz or higher?

Only this project or all projects?

What has changed since your last successful bounce?

As i wrote, I've tried both wav and mp3.

I also tried various bitrates and both 8, 16 and 24 bit.

I never use normalize.
