These will transmit the display of any device (iOS, OS X, Android, Windows, Linux, etc) that you can connect the HDMI transmitter to. No app needed on device or receiving TV/monitor. They simply transmit the device HDMI display out signal to a receiver.

According to Microsoft, it is not compatible with iOS or Mac OS.
