Albums auto sync?

Hi,

is there a way, without using iCloud Photo Library but just synching via iTunes, to have synched photos merged in their respective albums, without manually synching albums?

i.e.: let’s say I synch my photos of last years. Is there a way to see also them organised in albums?

This feature was available in the past years, for all albums ever. For example, by synching an album containing 1000 photos of the last 10 years, iOS devices were showing also all related albums eventually containing some of these 1000 photos, obviously only partly synched on iOS devices.

Any chance to have some of these feature now?
