Question about Apple Carplay

(sorry i put it in the apple tv section, i could not find a carplay category, feel free to move)

Are you able to play music that is in your ITUNES ACCOUNT, but NOT your iphone through carplay? Like if I have about 50 songs on my phone but I have about 3,000 songs on iTunes, am I able to play all 3,000 songs through carplay?? Or am i limited to the 50 songs on my device?

Would it make a difference if I had an ipod nano also, in which i stored my 3,000 itunes songs, or would that not be compatible with carplay?

Or, perhaps, would it be best to get that seperate nano and utilize the aux jack, and just use carplay for all the other features? Or would I be driven crazy with plugging in and unplugging the cord as needed? (Basically, how crazy is the set up process for carplay, because I don't want to be texting and driving)

no specific device-OTHER, Other OS, specifically about icloud

1. CarPlay can play anything your iPhone can play. If they are not on your device, but you subscribe to either iTunes Match or Apple Music, then you can potentially stream them like you would normally on your iPhone.

2. CarPlay is only compatible with select iPhone models. iPods are not compatible with CarPlay.

3. Setup is plug an play if your Car supports Wired Car Play only. Otherwise a few more steps must be followed the first time to set up Wireless CarPlay, after which its automatic.
