how to move regions into different instruments in garageband

How do I move my region, currently in orchestral instruments, into a different instrument, like piano (in mobile garageband [iphone 6S])? Apple has not been able to help much and its really frustrating me that I can't move simple notations into another instrument's track. I have plenty of music theory, composition, and tech knowledge, to know it should not be hard to switch from strings to piano, when it comes to the notation, in real life or in the garageband synthesizers. Therefore, I don't see why it is such an issue to move my regions into different instruments? Can anybody help?

You can certainly copy sections of an existing instrument to another track and transpose the copied data, however coping the MIDI notes and applying those to a different instrument isn't supported. It might be possible if you start with one sync, and then copy and change settings, but it certainly isn't possible in general. You could use GarageBand for iOS Feedback and ask for an additional Copy MIDI Notes feature, which could then paste those notes into any other instrument.
