Can't see Photos in iTunes

I transferred some photos, by accidentally syncing, from my PC to my iPhone. Now apparently the only way to delete them from my phone is to connect back into iTunes. However, when I do that, there is no Photos tab listed under the iPhone device.

How do I view the synced photos in iTunes so I can delete them from my phone?

If you're able to help, please assume I know nothing about iTunes or syncing. I don't use iTunes, don't want to use iTunes, don't sync anything ever (at least not deliberately) and don't want to sync anything anywhere, ever, other than to solve this problem. Thanks.

You won't see it there, that just shows you the media (music, films etc.) that you have stored on the phone. You need to select the device icon towards the top of that screen e.g.

If you want to delete all synced photos from the phone select that device icon and the left-hand side of the screen should look something like below - select the Photos tab and select and sync an empty folder (a folder with no photos under it ; you can just create an empty folder somewhere on the Mac if you don't already have one) e.g.
