Is the iPhone7 Jet Black *really* as scrunchable as I read?

I own an iPhone 5s. Was thinking of getting the SE, as I want faster power, but I also have a windows Phone for work, bigger than 5S.

Was looking at the iP7, and every review I read says the Jet Black looks awesome. The best of them all when you first open it. Look at it. Has a huge wow factor. Flawless.

But after a few days or weeks, those notable 'micro abrasions' begin to show. Even if you take it out of a case, they somehow appear.

I just wonder how people have dealt with that. Whether it's no biggy, or if most have since opted for the Matte Black.

Apple does state about these issues, and that you should have a case, but if you put a case on it, unless it's clear, what is the point of Jet Black?

Interested in views, to help me decide. I will be looking at one at the weekend, tho not sure if it will be Jet or Matte.

I've had mine since October and it remains spotless, but that's because I keep it in one of those little Gel cases that cover the sides and back and use a very thin screen cover in front. That has always seemed practical to protect the phone from scratches from items in my pocket or if dropped.

On my iPhone 5, 5s, 6 and 7 that solution has been far better than many of the clunky heavy plastic cases.

On eNay you can pick up the Gel case for about $2.50 and the screen covers at 6 for $2.00.
