Time to Leave causing unexpected meeting updates

I have my iphone and ipad synced with a MS exchange account. With time to leave enabled for calendar events, both my phone and ipad seem to send meeting updates the day of the meeting for meetings that i created to all invitees. Anyone else having this problem or know a fix aside from disabling the "time to leave" option?
