why does a folder i loaded on my ickoud at work not show up on mu ickoud at home a few hours later?

I started a new folder with word docs on my iCloud Drive at about 9pm GMT at my work on my mac at work. 2 Hours later it's not visible on my iCloud at home. How do I sync?

Try signing out of your account and signing back in. Alternatively, you can try toggling iCloud drive off/on under Settings to see if that'll work.

If you go to iCloud.com/iCloud Drive, is it there? That should show which computer isn't syncing.
