How can I choose the cover photo for an iMovie that I publish to Facebook?

Changing the thumbnails/posters in iMovie is difficult and has been much discussed on this forum. Check out the link below to a thread on the subject and see if there is anything there that helps. If you go to your movies folder, and control-click on the iMovieTheater folder, and then click on Show Package Contents, you will see a thumbnails folder in there. The thread I referenced below suggests ways to work with the thumbnails folder to set the poster clip. Need to be careful because you are a bit under the hood with the app.

Possibly another thing that might work is to upload your movie to You Tube, where you can add a custom poster thumbnail. Not sure whether it will carry over when you re-download the movie to your Mac.
