iOS 10.3 disables volume control for bluetooth connection

I experience the same issue on an iPhone 6Plus and an iPad Air.

I listen to music by streaming from my iOS devices to a loudspeaker via bluetooth connector (Philips AEA2700). Up until now the volume could be controlled through the iOS devices hardware buttons. Since my update to iOS 10.3 i can only turn the volume off that way, or on. Everything else must be done by loudspeaker remote.

Volume control on my girlfriends iPhone 5 with an earlier version of iOS works just fine.

Does anybody else experience the same issue? And have you found a way to work around it?

Hi guys. Any known fixes for the Bluetooth volume control bug?

iPhone 7 (iOS 10.3.2)

Philips AEA2700/12 (Bluetooth v3.0) BT adapter

Sony Hi-Fi connection to BT adapter via optical

When you play music from the iPhone music app, the volume in-app cannot be varied from min to max. It's either muted, 0% or max 100%, no increments.

Apple please fix iOS 10.3 to work properly with Bluetooth v3.0. Will iOS 11 be compatible with BTv3.0?

I connected the same iPhone to a Creative D100 Bluetooth speaker (Bluetooth v2.1) and I can adjust the volume in-app from min to max.

Please help!

Same issue here - with iPhone 5S and 6S and even with the newest MacOS 10.12.4 Update, too 😕

Was working great before for years, I dont understand what could have happened.
