Notification volume too low

I have the volume of my iPhone 6 plus at maximum. The ringer for calls is very loud. All other notifications for texts, emails, etc are so low I miss most of them. This recently change was working just fine for a long time.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.2.1

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It my understanding the volume for notifications on your iPhone are lower than the ringer volume. I can surely see how this would be concerning, especially since you're missing notifications. I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, I recommend restarting your iPhone. This can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
