Removing a nickname

Hi There,

The steps to remove a nickname cannot be followed because the nickname is not visible in contacts application. There us definitely a nickname set because Siri is making use of it. I can add a different nickname and Siri will make use of that also, however as soon as I say "Done" and leave edit mode the nickname disappears from view again.

Why can I not see the set nickname? How can I remove something I cannot see?

As a work around I can set my nickname to my first name, although I would prefer to remove it altogether as I share my contact card frequently.

An update...

I think this is a minor bug in the contacts app (potentially from changes in the way data is stored historically?).

I added another field (specifically a suffix, e.g. "Rory Leggett Esquire") to my name and now the nickname has also become visible and enabled me to remove it as well as the suffix. Although in the process it has removed my Company and Job title, which I just had to add back and everything is now fine.
