Need to record voice messages for a phone system as a .WAV 8kHz, 8-bit mono
I need to record voice messages for a phone system as a .WAV 8kHz, 8-bit mono file. Can Soundtrack Pro create these files? I can't seem to find anywhere to define these setting when saving the recording, only 16 and 24 bit. I can't find where to designate file type. If no settings in STP, is there a conversion app or a way to compress or change these setting? I'm new at this and want to create many pro quality voice messages for a company phone system.
This can be smoothly done with Sample Manager: you can even create an automator workflow to convert any file to [wave format][8 KHz][8-bit][mono] and process any number of files in one felt swoop anytime...
While you can't record directly to that format (and I wouldn't recommend doing it if you could), you can convert files using save as. Resample is available as a scriptable option, is there a way to create a batch script that changes bit rate?
