What are the minimum requirements for MacOS servers 5.3?

I have a Mac mini mid 2010 2.4Ghz core 2 duo with 4 gb of ram which I have refurbished. I have installed macOS 10.12.4 on it and downloaded macOS server 5.3. When I attempt to install the server I get the following message 'This version of server does not support upgrading the server data on this volume. To upgrade your server data you will need to install an older version of server and OS X' What do I need to do to either obtain older versions or adapt my mac mini to accept the latest versions?

The Mid 2010 Mac Mini does not support intenrent recovery.

You would need the disks that came with your computer at the time of purchase.

if you do not have them you can contact Apple

apple.com/contanct

otherwise OS 10.6.8 and OS 10.7.5 are available from the App Store for purchase

or you need to upgrade your version of server

You refurbished the Mac? What does that mean? What did you change? What are you installing the server from? Local disk or external? Are you using an admin account? If external have you copied it local to your admin account?

if you simply wiped the drive and installed a non-beta OS from Apple then shut down, disconnect all external devices except keyboard, mouse, and video

reboot

verify your clock and location are set correctly. verify you have a network connection

run the installer.

If the installer fails it's possible:

• I you have a corruption in the download.

• you have some outside software or conflict preventing the install. For futher analysis you may post an Etrecheck report. The link is http://www.etrecheck.com

• You have some other problem that may get better traction from Apple.
