Drag and Drop not working for Safari 10.1

Recently I upgraded to Safari 10.1.

Suddenly I cannot drag and drop images from the browser. As soon as I try to drag anything from Safari 10.1 it gives an error at the top and reloads the page. Tells me that some "safari content stopped working."

I can't even seem to right-click on an image in order to open it in a new window or tab.

I did not have this problem in 10.0.3 or any past versions. And when I use firefox the drag and drop feature works fine. So I don't think it's a problem with my mouse or anything other than Safari. Help?
