Why does my Apple Pay not work at gas stations?

It seems when I go to gas stations my Apple Pay does not work even when there is the symbol for Apple Pay and the employees say others use it. When I go to petsmart or my local smoke shop it will work. Why can I not use it at some places? Because this ***** when I need gas..

Hi

It may help to check that you are presenting your device to the payment terminal correctly and, if prompted, that are you choosing Credit on the payment terminal (even if using a Debit card via Apple Pay).

You may also wish to report your failed payment attempt attempts to Apple here:

https://www.apple.com/feedback/apple-pay.html

Under Feedback Type, options include "Apple Pay not working at the payment terminal as expected" and "Apple Pay transaction declined".

The form enables you to report issues with specific merchants, transactions, card types and issuing banks.
