how to get google chrome on macbook pro with os 10.6

help!!!!

i have a macbook pro 2009 running os 10.6

i am trying to install a web browser on it and am having problems downloading google chrome.

says its not supported. how can i install a different version. i have tried searching for some and every time i go to install it comes up with error.

any help would be great
