How can I turn off the security passcode for my Gen4 Apple TV?

I have a Gen4 Apple TV running tvOS 10.2. I am trying to turn off any passcode or password requirement for connecting via AirPlay. There is no AirPlay Security option for "None". The only options are First-Time Passcode, Passcode, and Password. Are we no longer able to turn off AirPlay security?

It changed with tvOS 10.2, on Tuesday of this week. Note that this is a one-time passcode, used to be called device security or the like. Once the device has entered the code, it's trusted forever. If this poses a real problem for you, let Apple know by posting at this link: https://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html.

I could guarantee no one here is using '3rd-party app, like Beamer'

We all use AirPlay and there is definitely a problem.

I also have the same issue. No matter what you do (having First-Time Passcode enabled), you're always confronted with a passcode to login. Even with devices that connect to the same AppleTV al the time.

This is beyond annoying.

I've been having the same issue for a couple of months now. I'm an experienced user (meaning, yes, all of the settings are correct on my 4th Gen AppleTV — it's set on First Time Only), and my setup did not changed at all when this started happening (I airplay music from my iMac in another room and both the iMac and AppleTV are wired into the network via ethernet). These devices are connected every day, and yet a few times per week, the connection will stop in the middle of playing, and I will be required to put in the AppleTV password into my iMac's iTunes in order for it to begin playing again.

Ideally, we could just turn off the security requirement and avoid the issue altogether. Seems a little absurd that that option was removed.
