Taking photos when holding camera flat, parallel to the ground
Often I am taking photos of small seedlings in a garden. To do this, I sometimes need to hold my camera flat, parallel to the ground, with the lens pointing straight downwards. But I notice that (sometimes? not always?) when I do this, and I'm in landscape mode, the photo comes out oriented in portrait mode instead. I guess the gyroscope in the camera gets confused. If I angle the camera a little bit so it's not flat with the ground, then it seems to stay in landscape, but I can't always do this. Anyone else have this problem?
