BeatsX not charging

From Beats instruction:

Reset

1. Hold down these two buttons for 10 seconds:
   • Power button
   • Volume down (–) button
2. When the LED indicator light flashes, release the buttons. Your earphones are now reset and ready to be set up with your devices again.

Not the center or Volume UP ➕ button as someone else said.

Hold the mute button (center button) and power button until the light flashes... this will fix your problem...

I had to do this 2x's and it finally reset and was registering charged 100% and now works fine

This is the exact same problem I have had. After working fine for almost a month, they suddenly stopped taking any kind of charge. Today I have spent TWO HOURS on Apple support trying to get this resolved. In fact, I'm on hold even as I type. Wish I had a suggestion. I'm going to have to send mine back and get a replacement.

This is now my 3rd pair of Beats X that have given up the ghost. First pair just stopped charging - no lights nothing after a few weeks. 2nd pair stopped pairing and needed reset every other day - worked for about 4 weeks. 3rd set now on 4th week - worked find till this morning then wont pair, won't reset - wont do anything - fed up with them.

Exact same problem here. Very annoying. I also tried the holding mute + power button trick and got the same results in regard to flashing lights. I also tried the hold lower volume + power and that did not work either. I have tried both multiple times. My BeatsX are less than a month old.

This situation is especially off-putting because I've already been through two pairs of AirPods and now this is happening, and I've treated all three pairs of ear buds perfectly. I don't think Apple's wireless headphones are ready for prime time yet.

I write this with extreme frustration with both the product and Apple. I have had to replace my 1st generation Powerbeats 4 times with the exact same problem! There is obviously a problem with the product and instead of replacing the product with the newer version they continue to send me more headphones (which are not sold anymore) which eventually have the same problem! Its become a joke.

i'm having the same problem suddenly after about 2 months of use. they won't hold a charge and won't turn on either. i tried everything listed above. this is a 150 dollar mistake. we switched to wireless and spend money to do so and now i have to deal with this again. and worse...i looked at my account online, to try to get the serial number because my blue beats barely have a readable number and i thru out all the paperwork figuring i could access the receipt anytime i need it online at the apple.com store and it the purchase doesn't show up. what a freaking pain

I have exactly the same problem. Tried reset, reboot and update via beats Updater. My buds are now completely useless and are only a month old...
