How do I increase the low end volume control?

The lowest I can get the volume slider is still really loud on iTunes, as in I can hear it all though my dorm complex. I can adjust my PC volume to fix this, but then I can't use iTunes Remote to adjust volume, I have to keep walking over to my PC to adjust it.

So is there anyway to keep the high end volume on iTunes, but make the lower volume settings quieter?

Right now I'm literally listening to iTunes's volume set to as low as possible and my PC volume at 2% and I can hear the music easily. I would like iTunes to be able to set low enough so my PC could be at 100% volume and it would be as loud as it is now.

Thanks.

Good afternoon Lorinh7,

Thanks for your question. If the lowest volume setting in iTunes is too loud, here are a couple of adjustments you can make.
  1. In the iTunes application, click the Windows command in the menu bar.
  2. Select Equalizer
  3. If the Preamp is enabled, remove the checkmark.
  4. You can also try tweeking the Loudness preset (click on the drop down arrow to see your presets).

On your PC, you can also look at the sound settings for your computer in Windows, and adjust the volume for speakers to a lower level.

When you’re in Control Panel:

Use search. To find a setting you're interested in or a task you want to perform, type a word or phrase in the search box. For example, type "sound" to find specific settings for your sound card, system sounds, and the volume icon on the taskbar.

Enjoy your music!
