How to cancel cd burn in Itunes

After burning cd, which content was too large for disc, I wish to cancel burn and not load second disc. I continue to get a reminder tone every 30 seconds or so. I deleted the playlist, and I notice that "burn disc" is grayed out in file, so I can't click on it to see if I can cancel. Cannot listen to any music because tone interferes! Any shortcuts or suggestions?

Good afternoon Turell,

If you are in the middle of burning a CD in iTunes for Windows, and you wish to abort the operation, you will need to force the iTunes application to quit or shut down your computer.

To do this on a PC
1) Open Task Manager using the CTRL+SHIFT+ESC keys or right-click on your taskbar and select the Task Manager shortcut.
2) Locate the iTunes application and choose "End Task."

Take care.
