Home sharing library won't display in TV app on iPad

4th gen iPad running 10.2.1

TV app will not display any media from iTunes on the Mac mini via Home Sharing

Tapping the name of the library in the TV app drop down menu does nothing; it still displays only the default Recently Added view with the Purchased TV Shows and Purchased Movies headers.

I have verified that the Mini is awake, iTunes is running, Home Sharing is enabled, and that I am logged in on the iPad with the same appleID as is associated with Home Sharing. I have no trouble accessing media from Computers app in Apple TV. Only the TV app on the iPad has this issue.

Have already attempted the below fixes as found in other posts. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Closed and reopened app
Hard restarted iPad
Uninstalled TV app, hard restarted iPad, reinstalled
Logged out of home sharing on iPad > Settings > TV, hard restarted, logged back in
Downloaded a free episode from store to the iPad - this DID cause the library name to display in the drop down menu in the app for the first time, however the library does not populate.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 10.2.1, null

Are all devices on the network configured to obtain their IP addresses using DHCP?

The router/access point should not be configured for wireless isolation or as a guest network.

Try rebooting all devices, turn off home sharing, then turn it on again.

Are you sure you are not actually looking at the Recently Added in the Shared Library? When I switch between the Shared Library on and my iPad the Recently Added selections are exactly the same. If you hit the library pulldown at the top left, what is the last line? Is it your shared library or your iPad?

Another thing to look for is a small strip of text underneath "Recently Added" that says it is "Showing only content on <insert your library's name> Library

The TV App will display your iTunes Music Library, subsequently displaying all the movies you added to your Movies or Home Movies Libraries. Initially, when I first attempted to use home sharing, it did not work. However, I did a hard reset on the Apple TV and restarted my computer, and/or iOS device. Afterwards, the TV app did reveal my iTunes Library. I'm now enjoying the home sharing feature like before with Video app.
