Boot Camp Orange & Blue Screen Windows 10

Need help installing Windows 10, and please I've done researching for over a week to resolve this but still no avail ...

What I've tried so far:

  1. USB 3, Every steps done completely by Boot Camp Assistant like an average user, failed.
  2. USB 2, Every steps done completely by Boot Camp Assistant like an average user, failed.
  3. USB 2, Installing only the necessary stuff like the ISO itself and the drivers by Boot Camp Assistant, then create BOOTCAMP partition by Disk Utility, failed.

At this point I gave up on using Boot Camp, then I found this http://fgimian.github.io/blog/2016/03/12/installing-windows-10-on-a-mac-without- bootcamp/http:// which basically what I did:

USB 2, Same USB used (not reinstalling), create BOOTCAMP partition by Disk Utility, changing this:

GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 1.0.1

Warning: Devices opened with shared lock will not have their

partition table automatically reloaded!

Partition table scan:

MBR: hybrid

BSD: not present

APM: not present

GPT: present

into this:

GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 1.0.1

Warning: Devices opened with shared lock will not have their

partition table automatically reloaded!

Partition table scan:

MBR: protective

BSD: not present

APM: not present

GPT: present

failed.

When I said FAILED, this is what happened:

  1. On Startup you see 2 options, either Windows or EFI BootUser uploaded file
  2. When I chose Windows, it goes into thisUser uploaded file
  3. Shortly after, it goes black with blinking cursor ... and then this happened.User uploaded file

Entire screen goes orange with vertical stripes and blinking cursor.

That said, when I chose EFI Boot, it goes straight into quite-some-time Windows logo, no blinking cursor, then this happened

User uploaded file

Entire screen goes blue without any blinking cursor.

Thanks, I didn't know that mine doesn't support EFI Boot. However I'm rather a bit sceptical as well on the USB.

You see, I can definitely assure you that this is a USB2, considering the speed is rather ungainly.

In contrast, here's the previous USB3 that I used in the first place.

However I'm rather a bit sceptical as well on the USB.

Because as you can see both are listed under USB 3.0 Bus, dunno whether or not it's normal.

But needless to say both my MacBook USB ports are USB3.

Sorry for haven't posted quite a long time.

Alright, this case has been closed.

Turns out the culprit is the Windows 10 ISO itself. Got that from a friend, it's the RS2 aka Anniversary Edition.

No idea why that one wasn't working, although I was using the same ISO when installing it into my sister's notebook.

Solved by using another updated Windows 10 RS3 ISO downloaded through MSDN Insider Preview build.

Do not use the SanDisk. The Toshiba is fine. If you use the Toshiba with the first two options and create the USB Installer, run the following two procedures

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

and connect the Toshiba installer, and restart the Mac and hold Alt/Option. If you see the USB as a selection, boot normally, and use the last option - Install - and try to install Windows.

If it does not work, the Toshiba does not support booting, you will need to find a different brand of USB2.
