Activity Sharing Error

I was sharing activity with 1 person, then suddenly for a few hours I could see there activity, but they could not see mine. The next day the connection was completely lost. I tried adding him back and receive the "There was an error sending your Activity Sharing Invitation. Try sending it again." error. When he sends me a new invitation I never receive it.

Since then, I have unpaired / re-paired, rebooted, updated to the newest OS on iphone (10.3) and apple watch (3.2), and removed / restored my apple watch on icloud, but continue to receive the same error. I've done each of these things multiple times over the last several days.

The only thing I haven't tried is setting up my apple watch as a new device. I've always restored from backup. The problem, however, seems to be with the phone, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Help!

Hey all!

Here is what ended up working for me after many calls back and forth to apple care.

1. Turn off iMessage

2. Sign out of iCloud

3. Turn off iPhone and iwatch

4. Turn both back on

5. Sign back into iCloud

6. Turn iMessage back on

7. Try sending activity invite again.

Hope this works for you too! Good luck!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. We've been on the phone with Apple Support twice. After trying several things, including unpairing of watch and phone and even wiping the watch, nothing was working. They called me back after talking to "engineering", only to tell me that we needed to try wiping my phone to see if that would help. They felt the issue might be something physical in the phone itself and wanted to verify it wasn't a corrupted software file somewhere. Didn't make a lot of sense to me, and I really didn't want to wipe my phone. Such a pain! So I've been waiting for a viable answer to pop up here. And this worked!

Now I'm having trouble getting both of my two friends to show on the watch. They show on the phone just fine, in the Activity app. I uninvited them both then rebooted my watch and got one of them to show up on the watch. But I'm still having no luck getting two friends to show. I will keep trying. Thank you again!

So I'm having the EXACT same issue! I was sharing activity with friends and all of the sudden I could see their activity but neither one could see mine. I removed them from sharing and now I can't add them back! It keeps giving me an error when I try to add them, we they try to add me and even whe. I try to ignore or delete they're share request! He's the kicker tho, I added a completely new friend today for the first time! I think it has something to do with having been shared with them and since I updated it went to sh*t!
