I keep getting the message "your icloud settings are out of date" on my desktop. I have repeatedly tried the repair on the 'download icloud drive for windows'

I have icloud on my iPhone, ipad, and windows 10 desktop. However, when on email I continually get the message that my icloud settings are out of date. I have repeatedly downloaded iCloud for windows and tried the repair.

"Your iCloud account settings are out-of-date" notification keeps popping up on my Windows 10 PC.

Lauren,

I went through trying to reset the name and password - didn't work

I removed 2-factor authorization from Apple - that didn't work

I went and removed iCloud from my Windows PC - that didn't work.


Finally I saw a blurb that said to go to Accounts (Windows->Settings->Accounts) then Click on Email and app accounts. Be sure you remove iCloud from here. That did it for me.
