I have icloud on my iPhone, ipad, and windows 10 desktop. However, when on email I continually get the message that my icloud settings are out of date. I have repeatedly downloaded iCloud for windows and tried the repair.

I have an even weirder problem.
I got so sick of MS Windows 10 giving me this message, that I removed everything iCloud on my computer.
Guess what....that message is STILL coming up.
How do you explain THAT?

I went through trying to reset the name and password - didn't work
I removed 2-factor authorization from Apple - that didn't work
I went and removed iCloud from my Windows PC - that didn't work.
Finally I saw a blurb that said to go to Accounts (Windows->Settings->Accounts) then Click on Email and app accounts. Be sure you remove iCloud from here. That did it for me.
My issue is that when I attempt to install, it gets about half-way through the install and 'breaks', claiming that some required software is missing.
Has anyone got the answer to this? I have the same issue....it's annoying. The only thing I've accomplished is getting into this discussion group.
No effect. On failed install, it recommends attempting to install it manually--at which point the installer tells me there are critical Windows files missing.
